For mountaineering lovers, the legendry Mt. Rwenzori popularly known as the "mountains of the moon" provide the perfect and the most exciting choice. With its peak permanently covered by snow and it's sides with dense forests, in addition to the Rwenzori mountains, there is the volcanic Mount Elgon which with it's rough slopes which will give you a challenging experience.

Uganda is blessed with thousands of species of birds including the rare shoebill. The species of birds are well distributed across the country depending on their habitats.
