river Nile; arrive in time for lunch en
rout at the Masindi Hotel, prepare for
our first real venture into the African
bush. Travel through the park towards
the Murchison Falls, you are at the top
of the falls, where the entire Nile is
forced through a gap only six meters wide
making it the most significant event to
occur on the Nile on its journey to the
sea then cross the Nile by ferry to your
Lodge. Overnight stay at Paraa Safari

Day 3 Murchison
Falls National Park
Early morning, go on a “sunrise
game drive” on the Buligi Circuit,
north of the Nile you will encounter Buffalo,
Giraffes, Elephant, and a wide variety
of plains game, luckily enough; we may
catch sight of the resident lion or leopard.
Return to the lodge mid-morning for breakfast.
After lunch proceed for one of Uganda’s
great experiences – a game cruise
on the Nile up river towards the fall.
We’ll pass pods of hippo and crocodile,
flocks of exotic birds, butterflies and
game coming down to drink at the water’s
edge, late afternoon return to your lodge
for dinner/overnight.

A walk in a tropical forest (Budongo forest)
the East Africa’s largest Mahogany
forest, marvel at the magnificent but
increasingly rare giants. View/spot the
famous chimpanzees and other primates
on your walk, over 366 bird species can
also be seen.

Falls National Park – Kibale Forest
National Park
After breakfast, leave Murchison falls
drive southwest to the Kibale Forest National
Park via Hoima to Fort Portal through
verdant countryside and typical Ugandan
traditional homesteads and farms, catching
view of the Western Rift Valley. Lunch
in fort Portal town, the town rests in
the shadow of the fabled ‘Mountains
of the Moon’.
In the late afternoon arrive at your Lodge;
Ndali Lodge for dinner/overnight
Day 6 Kibale Forest National Park
Early morning you are in a Tropical rain
forest the natural habitat for an amazing
12 primate species, 325 bird species and
contain the highest primate density of
an area on Earth. Track the Chimpanzees
and other primates including I’hoestes,
red Colubus, blues, red tailed and Grey
magabeys. The guide will provide detailed
explanation on primate forest Flora and
Fauna. After lunch visit to Bigodi swamp
(Home of the Great Blue Turacos) which
offers excellent opportunity for birders
to see verity of bird spices and other
small mammals.

After early breakfast proceed to Queen
Elizabeth National Park following the
mystical Rwenzori Mountain ranges for
much of the journey with a game drive
en route to Queen. After lunch enjoys
a unique 2hrs boat cruise on the renowned
Kazinga channel into Lake Edward, which
trip passes through possibly the highest
concentration of hippos, and many other
animals may be seen drinking at water
edges hence offers you an excellent platform
for photography, bird watching and game
viewing.

National Park
Early game drive with a magnificent view
of the sunset, the massive Rwenzori Mountains
as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities
to see lions, leopards, and elephants,

species then drive back to the lodge for

Impenetrable National Park
Leave Queen Elizabeth, drive through the
“Switzerland of Africa”, known
as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced
hillside and winding roads to Bwindi Impenetrable
National Park; this is a UNESCO World
Heritage Site and is one of the most biologically
diverse areas in the world.

Gorilla tracking, you will enter the Gorilla
sanctuary for the adventure of a lifetime.
This adventure/experience is amongst the
most exciting and challenging of our entire
expedition. The Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi
are a half (1/2) of the worldwide population
of just 600 individuals. The gorillas
are by no means tame, and are completely
wild animals. However, experienced guides
will accompany us on our tracking.

Transfer from Bwindi to Kabale then Lake

a short rest preparing for an evening
game drive expect to see large numbers
of Zebra (Lake Mburo National Park has
the highest concentration of Zebra in
Uganda) and other plains game species

handcraft stall in Mukono town, fruit
market at Namawojolo. Drive through Mabira
tropical forest, where several forest
birds and some primates can easily be
seen. Look for Columbus monkeys and birds.
Arrive at the famous Owen Falls Dam built
in 1954 on the River Nile, the longest
river in the world of about 6500km starts
from here. In Jinja town don’t mind
yet the bordered up shops serve as a reminder
to you, that there was once sizeable Asian
community in this town. Genuine historical
note in the town centre, the combination
of Asian, colonial and indigenous architecture
creates a definite sense of place.
After lunch in town transfer to Masese
fishing village, then at Ripon Falls,
you are standing at the very spot where
John Speke became the first European to
correctly identify the Geographical grail
even spent relaxing at Bujagali falls
where several rapids are situated close
together.

OF THE MOON (RWENZORI)
9 DAYS / 8 NIGHTS
Day 1: Kampala
– Kasese
0830 hrs check out of Kampala hotel and
depart for western Uganda
Stopover in Mbarara for refreshments;
then proceed to Kasese town do some light
shopping in the afternoon preparing for
early departure for Mountain trekking.
Trekking start on specific days Monday,
Wednesday and Friday
Dinner/overnight stay in Kasese town at
Hotel Margherita.
Day 2: Kasese – Rwenzori
After breakfast, guide will have purchased
all necessary items for the hike in Rwenzori.
Proceed to Ibanda the foot of Rwenzori
Mountains; your porter and guide are introduced
to you. Proceed to the first hut (Nyabitaba)
for an overnight stay.
Day 2 – 8 in the Rwenzori, and on
the 8th day you are collected from Ibanda
and taken to Kasese to your hotel for
the overnight (Central circuit).
Day 9: Kasese
- Kampala
After breakfast at leisure; Afternoon
leisurely drive back to Kampala.
